A portrait should cause an instant single feeling at first sight, followed up by a rush of emotions.
When we see a child on the beach with a wakeboard we can not help but smile at their innocence.
Similarly, when we see an aged cowboy carved with lines of wisdom sipping from a stream, we have a glimpse of his past from yesteryear and remember to slow our pace in life so we can appreciate the small things.
